Using OpenCV or Matplotlib to convert 3d numpy array to image

I have a file with a series of images, call its directory
img_dir = "/imgs"
and I iterated through this image directory with
imglist =
for img in os.listdir("/imgs"):
imglist.append(plt.imread(img))
images = np.dstack(imglist)
I now have a 3d array of images and want to turn this into a scatter plot using mplot3d, any ideas?

What would a scatter plot of a single image even look like? (Much less N images.)
