How to find the IMEI and serial number of an iPhone before selling it?

I am selling away my iPhone 5s as I wish to upgrade to a new one. The IMEI number mentioned on the back side of the device is scratched. How do I determine the IMEI and Serial Number of the device. Is there anything else that needs to be taken care of before giving away the iPhone?
