How to write Flat code and hardwired code with example

I did refer few links for flat code "https://peeke.nl/writing-flat-code" but can anyone explain me in short example for Flat code and hardwired code
As per my understanding Flat code should not have more nested loops and all. and HArdwired is where we pass hardcoded values for any variables, columns or anything.
