Onclick action depending on input

0

I'm a bit noob with HTML. In my view, what i want is to compare an input password with a default string (a password in a .txt). If both are equals, when i click my button, i want it to redirect to another page. If not, show me a message in the textbox.

Here is part of my view:

<div class="column">
<h2>Registro para administradores</h2>
<p>Si ya te comunicaste con los moderadores, poné la clave que te pasaron aquí debajo y registrate.</p>

<form>
Password: <input type="password" name="psw">
</form>

<button type="button" onclick="location.href='@Url.Action("RegisterAdmin","Account")'">Registrate 2</button>

</div>

And my fuction to compare the passwords:

@functions{

public bool checkPassword(string pass)
{
System.IO.StreamReader file = new System.IO.StreamReader(@"C:/Users/agnme/TpNuevaVersion/SistemaGestion/SistemaGestion/Password/pass.txt");

string line = file.ReadLine();

return line.Equals(pass);
}

If the input psw and the password in my file are equals, the onclick action will be onclick="location.href='@Url.Action("RegisterAdmin","Account")'". If not, show a message in that form.
