Laravel Localization: how to set the source file

0

I'm starting to work with Laravel and I have a basic question about localization that I couldn't find in their docs: I don't know how to set the file that I'm getting the translated string from.

Yes, reading their docs I know that, for example, If I wanted a message from the messages.php file I would use __("messages.hello"), but I don't think it's too practical. So I prefer to use the key as the translation __("Hello there!"). But how to setup where this string is coming from?

I like a lot the way they do with The stack I use the most:

Is it possible to do something similar using Laravel? Where I could have a file per controller, or even better, I could set which file I'm using in the controller?

  • Except I disagree that it is impractical structure, I believe it [sh|c]ould be found in these files.
