why is TTS's synthesisToFile taking forever to save a string to .wav?

I am trying to save a huge string(book pages) to .wav files using synthesisToFile, problem is it is taking 11 years to save the complete file. I even broke it up into paragraphs but still no luck-

I just checked the generated file size in my file explorer app, after it reaches a certain size (1.6mb) it stops increasing in size. This method is useless
