Tomcat access for log files getting revoked

0

We have our tomcat application which is deployed via chef configurations. But however after every deployment the log files access are getting revoked to -rw-r----- instead of -rwxr-xr-x. I have all the chef configuration in place but still facing the issue and the version of tomcat in use is 8.5.33. Can you please help?

Below are the chef configuration in recipes - default.rb:

if (node.ec2.placement_availability_zone.include?('****') && node.ec2.placement_availability_zone.include?('****'))
directory '/opt/xxxx/tomcat8/webapps' do
owner 'tomcat8'
group 'zzzzz'
mode '0750'
action :create
end

directory '/opt/xxxx/tomcat8/webapps/ROOT' do
owner 'tomcat8'
group 'zzzzz'
recursive true
end

execute "Set correct permissions for ROOT" do
command "chown -R tomcat8:support /opt/hubzu/tomcat8/webapps/ROOT"
end

directory '/opt/xxxx/tomcat8/logs' do
owner 'tomcat8'
group 'zzzzz'
recursive true
end

execute "Set correct permissions for logs" do
command "chown -R tomcat8:zzzzz /opt/xxxx/tomcat8/logs"
end

Thanks & Regards,
Shwetha
