SonarScanner for Maven vs SonarScanner for Jenkins
I'm setting up a Maven project in Jenkins, and I want to analyze it and send the results to my SonarQube server.
The official documentation says that I can use either SonarScanner for Maven (execute goal sonar:sonar) or SonarScanner for Jenkins (post-build step).
Source: https://docs.sonarqube.org/latest/analysis/overview/
I would like to know if there is a recommended best practice for choosing one or the other. I have used both approaches and they work fine, but I am having a hard time choosing between the two.
Thanks for the help
