I have read the documentation here for TypeConverter.ConvertFromInvariantString
, but I didn't understand it.
Is doing conv.ConvertFromInvariantString(val);
same as:
CultureInfo defaultCulture = new CultureInfo("en-US");
conv.ConvertFromString(null, defaultCulture, val);
My problem is that I am reading input from file which have numeric input with .
seperator (for example 13.5
)
If my locale is german for example, conv.ConvertFromString
for 13.5
will not work and will throw exception.
So I want to convert to string with culture independent method, and I don't know which one to use.
Can you please help?
Thanks
