Which UUID to use when connecting to device

0

I have been asked to help a friend out by creating a simple app that can display data read from his pressure sensor through bluetooth. I have written all the code, but due to my limited knowledge about bluetooth, I'm having some trouble figuring out which UUID to choose when establishing the connection with the createRfcommSocketToServiceRecord method.

Currently, I'm just getting all the UUID's from device and using the first one in the array to connect:

device.createRfcommSocketToServiceRecord(UUID.fromString(mmDevice.getUuids()[0].toString()));

I understand that a device's UUIDs represent the services it supports, but my question is: Will the device return different data depending on the UUID that has been used to connect?

If yes: How do I figure out which UUID to use (from this list?)?

If no: Then I'm guessing it's perfectly fine to just use the first one in the list of UUIDs, like I am doing now?

Thanks.
