Design pattern for CloudKit and StoreKit

0

Yes, I've googed for this.

Does anyone have insight on a design pattern that integrates CloudKit (for storing SKProduct identifiers) and StoreKit?

This is what I've designed. I know it can be better

AppDelegate.m

  • In application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions move the bundled default products plist to the apps's document directory, if the plist doesn't exist then call fetchProductsFromCloudKit.

  • In fetchProductsFromCloudKit query CloudKit in a block for active product identifiers. If CloudKit returns product identifiers then save the array to the apps's document directory product plist.

  • Using the product identifiers from fetchProductsFromCloudKit call fetchStoreKitProductsWithProductIdentifiers to request products from StoreKit.

  • In the StoreKit delegate productsRequest:didReceiveResponse if [response.products count] > 0 then save any returned products to the AppDelegate property products.

  • applicationWillEnterForeground also calls fetchProductsFromCloudKit.

StoreViewController.m

  • In viewDidLoad test for _appDelegate.products == nil. If YES then look in the products plist for product identifiers. Start a product request within StoreViewController (StoreVC). If NO then load StoreVC's product table view from _appDelegate.products.

  • In the StoreVC's productsRequest:didReceiveResponse test for response.products count > 0. If YES then save those products to _appDelegate.products and reload the StoreVC's product table view. If NO then show alert view controller with a store down message.
