How to compare value with column value and get second highest value if it is greater than passing value
I have table 'my_table' with price column and product column
If I pass value 1800 then it should get second highest record like
SELECT *, ABS(price-1800) x FROM my_table WHERE product = 1 ORDER BY x LIMIT 1;
Expected output:
id product price
1 p1 2000
If I pass value 2200 or 5000 it should get record like
SELECT *, ABS(price-2200) x FROM my_table WHERE product = 1 ORDER BY x LIMIT 1;
Expected output:
id product price
1 p1 2500
but The query is not working as per my expectation if I pass value 2200 it is selecting record 2000 but i want record 2500
how to write query to acheive this?
mysql
