send pdf document in email with Mailchimp API using Python
I am doing the following steps to send emails to a list of contacts with Python Mailchimp API:
from mailchimp3 import MailChimp
my_html = """html here"""
html = {"html": my_html}
client = MailChimp(mc_api='xxxxxx', mc_user='xxxx')
data = {
"recipients":
{
"list_id": "xxxxxxxx"
},
"settings":
{
"subject_line": "Subject",
"from_name": "Name",
"reply_to": "email"
},
"type": "regular"
}
camp = client.campaigns.create(data=data)
client.campaigns.content.update(campaign_id=camp['id'], data=html)
client.campaigns.actions.send(campaign_id=camp['id'])
Now I want to attach a .pdf document (which is saved in my local disk) with this campaign. I have looked for a solution but haven't been able to find a way to attach a pdf document with the email. Any help would be much appreciated
