The notification displayed in the phone's notification area all have the same top and left padding, as seen on the picture below.

How can I use these default padding for my app's notification, or where can I get the official padding values from ?

enter image description here

Here is the code for displaying the notification:

NotificationCompat.Builder mBuilder = new NotificationCompat.Builder(this, channelId);
mBuilder.setSmallIcon(getNotificationIcon(mBuilder));

String appName = getResources().getString(R.string.app_name);
mBuilder.setContentTitle(appName);
mBuilder.setContentInfo("TEST");
mBuilder.setContentText(alertMsg);
Notification notification = mBuilder.build();
notification.flags |= Notification.FLAG_AUTO_CANCEL;
notification.defaults |= Notification.DEFAULT_SOUND;
notification.defaults |= Notification.DEFAULT_VIBRATE;
mNotificationManager.notify(notificationId, notification);
