How to calculate more accurately of execution per minute estimation C#

I have two threads running - 1 executing items - 1 output and display,Currently i want to display CPM,however the way i'm calculating it is very rough



Code Snippet in bar



int PrevC = Checked; // saving the value before changes happen
Thread.Sleep(1000); // wait until changes are made from dowork
CPM = (Checked - PrevC)*60; // how i'm calculating CPM


Code Snippet in dowork



Thread.Sleep(250); // example of work
Interlocked.Add(ref Checked, 1); // add value to Checked
