Matlab cell-array to matrix overriding grouped variable
I have a question related to Matlab cell array.
First, please look at the following code:
xx = [1:6]';
groupid = [1;1;1;2;3;3];
grouped_xx = splitapply(@(x) {unique(x)}, xx, groupid);
yy = [num2cell(xx) grouped_xx(groupid)];
cell2mat(yy(:,2))
In the cellarray yy, there are two columns.
xx is in the first column, and the set of xx(s) in the same group is in the second column.
I'd like to convert this cell array yy to a matrix form, keeping the first column. The ideal output that I want is:
yy(:,1)yy(:,2)
1 1
1 2
1 3
2 1
2 2
2 3
3 1
3 2
3 3
4 4
5 5
5 6
6 5
6 6
but cell2mat(yy(:,2)) only gives me the second column matrix.
Is there a good way to overcome this problem?
