Problem in set maximum of seekbar progress with video duration

I want to set maximum of my seekbar with video durution using getDuration method in onCreate but it returns -1.what's the problem?
my code is here :
video = findViewById(R.id.video);
seekBar = findViewById(R.id.seekBar);
final Uri uri = Uri.parse("android.resource://" + G.name + "/" + R.raw.alex);
video.setVideoURI(uri);
video.start();
seekBar.setMax(video.getDuration());

you have to use some callback to wait for decoding the duration, i think thatMediaPlayer.OnPreparedListenerwill be enough
