Duplicate webbapps from same source with tomcat
I have a webapp that will be set up as multiple instances in server.xml. For example:
- app1.localhost
- app2.loaclhost
- app3.localhost
They will then all have their own directories as
- [tomcat]webappsapp1
- [tomcat]webappsapp2
- [tomcat]webappsapp3
If a change is made globally i don't really want to update them all. Lest say i have the file [tomcat]webappsapp1viewshome.html changed, i would need to replace them 3 times.
Therefore i have removed the directory "views" in app2 and app3 and in the server.xml has done this for these two:
<Context docBase="[tomcat]webappsapp1views" path="/views" />
This works well and i can now only update the first app and the other two will have the same information.
However, in each root there's some stand alone files as well which i also would want to do this with. For example index.html.
<Context docBase="[tomcat]webappsapp1index.html" path="/index.html" />
Is not working (not really that unexpexted).
In each webappsappX i still however want to have WEB-INFweb.xml and another config file kept in the root, all other files should be mirrored from app1, so i cant really mirror the whole directory.
Maybe i could to this, if i can do something like "mirror the whole directory but skip these files" :)
Any ideas or suggestions?
