How to add punctuation to live generated speech-to-text?
In the code below I'm currently using webkitSpeechRecognition()
with chrome to automatically generate text on a webpage from a live microphone input. The only issue I'm facing is that it doesn't add punctuation such as commas or question marks without explicitly saying what you want mid sentence. Are there any JavaScript API's that can (ideally) do this automatically during the text generation such as Googles Speech-to-Text demo?
Or alternatively once the text has finished being generated?
Ive seen punctuation restoration but it doesnt have a very good accuracy.
Thank you!

You can use a keyword trigger. For example if the first word is "What" then you can concatenate it with + "?" Since "What" usually points to a question. It's a grammar rule you can use.
